SEVENTH GRADE
Seventh grade at Cornerstone Christian School is a year of growth and discovery, where students build on their academic foundation while maturing socially and spiritually. They are challenged to think critically, solve problems creatively, and explore God’s purpose for their lives.
Core Subjects
Bible: Students deepen their understanding of God’s Word, exploring its relevance in their lives and the world today.
World History: A comprehensive study of key events, cultures, and civilizations, fostering an appreciation for global history.
Language Arts: Focus on analytical writing, literary analysis, and strengthening communication and critical thinking skills.
Mathematics: Mastery of core concepts lays a strong foundation for advanced problem-solving.
Life Science: Students explore life processes and systems, including hands-on learning through two dissections to deepen their understanding of biology.
Elective Courses
Students have the opportunity to explore their interests and develop new skills through a variety of electives, including:
Visual & Performing Arts: Art, Culinary Arts, Drama, and Digital Photography/Yearbook.
STEM & Technology: Coding, digital literacy, and hands-on tech labs.
Language: Comprehensive Spanish courses to build fluency and cultural understanding.
Life Skills: Workshops on study skills, personal finance, mock trials, and sessions with guest speakers to inspire leadership and real-world readiness.
Spiritual Growth
Students participate in daily prayer, weekly Bible verse memorization, and weekly chapel services to nurture their faith.
Biblical principles are integrated into all subjects, encouraging a Christ-centered worldview.
Enrichment & Activities
Classes in Art, Music, and Computer provide additional opportunities for creativity and skill-building.
Projects such as museum exhibits, newspaper articles, character analyses, and literary critiques challenge students to apply their learning in innovative ways.
