Middle School Program Overview

Snack/Meals

Morning snacks are provided by students. Student must bring a lunch from home.

Health

Immunizations must be up-to-date before entry to the program.

Uniforms

We love our uniforms, and feel they play an important role in alleviating potential competition among students. We also don't want obtaining uniforms to be a hardship for any of our families. Click the link below for our Uniform Policy, and for uniform purchasing options.

Curriculum

The Middle School program at Cornerstone Christian School consists primarily of an academically advanced high school preparatory course of study that includes the following core curriculum class:  Bible, Math, English, Science, and Social Studies.  To support the core curriculum, the following elective courses are also offered:  Art, Culinary, Drama, Computer Technology, Digital Photography/Memory Book, Spanish, and Study Skills. The middle school operates on a traditional class schedule, consisting of seven periods, each spanning fifty minutes, plus five-minute passing periods.

Travel Opportunities (Depending on Interest)

6th grade – Outdoor Education/Science Camp
8th grade – Historical Studies Tour to select Washington, D.C, and other east coast historical sites.

Extracurricular Activities

Students who maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA are eligible for participation in sports and clubs. 

(E)xtended (D)ay(C)are

EDC is offered to our middle school students after school, from 3pm-6pm. Students are provided with snacks, homework room availability, and access to the playground and sports field. Middle schoolers are supervised in an area separate from elementary students while they are in the school building.
