What do you enjoy most about CCS?
I love the staff, how we rally around each other in prayer, and how we are with each other in the " highs" and "lows" of life. I really love meeting all the family and all the students I am able to connect with. It brings me joy, and I truly love each and every student as if they were my own.
Tell us about your family!
My family and I live in Camarillo. I have a teenage daughter, Gracie Thompson, who attended CCS from preschool through Middle School and is now a Junior at Hillcrest Christian School.
What is your favorite scripture verse and why?My favorite scripture is Ezekiel 36:26-27: " I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws."
I love this scripture because it speaks to a deeper relationship with God and that, many times, situations and " life" can cause our hearts to become distant and cold to God and his ways. It shows our Father's grace, mercy, and love to continue calling us to Himself. In exchange, he will help us, restore, and soften our hearts again, causing us to be obedient and attentive to His Word and laws.
